  23. can you read the silkscreen on top of all chips?
  24. what firmware rev do you use, ATI3<cr>?
  25. does the modem react to other commands?
  26. if you use AT&F&W&W1<cr> followed by ATZ<cr>, what happens?

  28. sounds like something in HW is broken, I have never heard of this one.
